The user group I chose for this project is cyclists, whose main device is a smartphone.
First I started with some research and a summary of the more common weather apps and two of the more niche apps.

To get a better idea of the general usage patterns of weather apps, I refer to existing examples.

Because my user group is cyclists, it is important for them to be safe.
In my summary of the three apps, I found that they all have features such as weather pollution, the highest and lowest temperature of the day, forecast weather and visibility of the day, but they are relatively lacking in terms of voice announcements, weather recall and road travel safety.

1·Weather lookback: you can check the weather the night before the next day, for example if it was raining, so you can tell if your bike got wet the night before and decide in advance if you need to take cleaning tools or go out in a different way.

2·Voice announcement: As you are a cyclist, it is dangerous to keep checking your mobile phone messages on the road, so turning on voice announcement will reduce this danger.

3·Road conditions: you can give different road options according to the weather of the day, such as this section of road is more crowded, that road is more slippery ground, etc. This not only reduces the safety of travel, but also improves the efficiency of travel.
