I chose the article An internet of old things by Chris Speed, which focuses on the rapid development of the internet nowadays and whether people are only looking ahead and ignoring the past history. The example of QR codes is one of the more poignant ones for me in the present.

After the outbreak of the COVID-9, it has become more and more common to track down confirmed cases and their close contacts, and what has made this easier is big data and the QR codes generated by big data. This is a way of retracing and recording the past.

I was inspired by this: the retracing of actions. For example, the frequency of actions in the trajectory can be used to derive personal preferences, habits, age, etc., and these results can be used as new data for research and presentation.
