This project was a relatively new way for me to present my research ideas in a video.
The broad scope of my topic was global warming, a topic that has been talked about and researched for a long time, and when it comes to the effects and consequences of global warming, the tone of the topic is almost always negative, so I was curious to see how I could add a ‘positive’ element to a topic that is so full of downbeats. Through my research I found the comforting sound of ‘Bergy Seltzer’ and the ‘diamond beaches’ of Iceland, which are admired for their beauty, but sadly for their causes. So the challenge I faced at the the research was how to point to an appropriate presentation.
The second challenge was the technical aspect of the video, as I had only ever tried a short second motion poster for a motion piece, so it was a question of how to edit the video. Another challenge for the video was the selection of the research material, as it was only 30 seconds long, so it was another challenge to show the development of the research and still make it clear.
